How to Apply

  1. Visit the official NTA UGC NET portal at ugcnet.nta.ac.in
  2. Click on “New Candidate Registration” for the UGC NET December 2026 Cycle
  3. Complete the online registration using valid identification to generate your Application Number and Password
  4. Log in and fill in personal details, educational qualifications (Master’s or 4-Year Bachelor’s details), and select your applied category (JRF & Assistant Professor / Assistant Professor & Ph.D. / Ph.D. only)
  5. Choose your Subject from the list of 85 subjects and select four preferred examination cities in order of priority
  6. Upload scanned passport-size photograph (10 KB to 200 KB) and signature in black ink (4 KB to 30 KB) as per NTA guidelines
  7. Pay the examination fee online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI gateway before the cutoff date
  8. Review all entries carefully, submit the final application on or before 28 October 2026 , and download/print the Confirmation Page for future reference
